This gallery contains some of the pictures I took along the west bank of the Wilamette River during winter.
Yes, that is right-side-up. I took this picture in an incredibly beautiful location I found, where two logs had fallen at either end of an island, creating an area of calm water in an otherwise fast-flowing river. Taken with the eqivalent of a 54mm lens (28mm + doubler) on Pan-F film near the end of the day. I have many more pictures of this area, and plan to return soon.
A simple picture on Fuji Acros 100. This kind of picture is a nightmare to print: Vast expanses of smooth tones will make any, and I mean ANY particle of dust or scratch painfully obvious. But with great care (and the help of a blower bulb), I managed to make it happen. It's so... serene. Calming.
The endless expanse and photographic possiblities of the river and the trees come together. Fuji Acros 100, 28mm lens @ F/2.8.
Taken a few weeks after the first picture in this gallery, the water has receded a little. Snapped in Pan-F with the 28mm lens at F/16.
From the same island, this time facing due south. Pan-F, 28mm @ F/5.6.
